Tony has been an entrepreneur all of his life and with interests primarily in the technology field.
Since retiring at age 36, Tony has been involved with a number of organizations assisting them with restructuring and strategic advice. One of the major projects that were undertaken was the restructuring of the Thoroughbred Industry in South Africa, which employs 100 000 people. Tony led the team that successfully reorganized and rationalized the industry, whilst playing a pivotal role in forming the National Tote, which allowed the internationalization of the industry, thereby creating a sustainable business model.
Structuring of property ownership and developing beachfront apartments on the Island of Mauritius was another innovative project undertaken by Tony in the past decade.
Tony provided the business and publishing experience necessary to set up South Africa’s premier Christian Magazines, having previously co-owned and published the primary golf magazine in South Africa; The Compleat Golfer.
Tony is a well-respected businessman in South Africa and he has served on a number of Boards of Directors during his career. He currently has investments in numerous technology companies in South Africa and has an international portfolio of property and other investments.
Tony spent the best part of three years on the Cornerstone Institute project, where he restructured the operations, expanded the focus and repositioned the college from a market perspective, with an expanded focus on technology driven distance education. This entity has been transitioned into the hands of the new owners, who are far better placed to establish Cornerstone as a major force in the tertiary education sector.
Tony was born in 1958, has many diverse interests and enjoys a network of influential and credible business and community leaders in his circle of influence.
Tony is responsible for the strategic positioning, business development and with his passion for marketing will take an active role in the launch and ongoing marketing of the App.
